Angel Orús refuge

The Angel Orús refuge is located in the Aigüeta de Eriste valley at 2,150 m high, at the foot of the Agujas del Forcau. From the terrace of the refuge you can enjoy spectacular views of the valley. Built around the old Forcau refuge, it preserves this emblematic refuge intact as a vestige of what it once was. Now the old Forcau is a modern building that offers all the comforts to have a pleasant stay.
The Ángel Orús has been certified with ISO 14001 since October 2003, a pioneering experience in Spain and the Pyrenees in the field of mountain refuges, from where it is committed to an environmental management model with the installation of renewable energy sources, the usual practice of selective waste collection and environmental awareness campaigns.

How to get
The refuge is located in the Eriste valley, at the foot of the Forcau needles.
From Barbastro take the N-123 towards Graus, when you arrive in Graus, continue on the A-139 towards Benasque, when you arrive at Morillo de Liena continue on the N-260 towards Benasque.
Before reaching Benasque, leaving Eriste, there is a track on the left (there is a sign indicating it) at first paved and then unpaved. It is followed until its end, a little before the Espigantosa waterfall.
From here it is necessary to walk for 1 hour 45 'to reach the refuge. The path runs through the valley next to the Eriste aigüeta, until it leaves it to go up the valley in a continuous zig zag and up the promontory where the refuge is located.
