The refuge Cap de Llauset is located in the GR 11, in the easternmost sector, next to the Maladeta massif, also giving coverage, service and safety to the many mountaineers who make this route of international interest.
With their 2 425 m is the highest guarded refuge in the Aragonese Pyrenees.
The environment of the refuge offers a multitude of activities related to the world of mountaineering, and his enclave is strategic in the realization of these, offering a reference facility as well as a base from where to start or end the activity, good for training courses, or as an information point, within a protected environment such as Posets-Maladeta Natural Park.

How to get
The usual access to the refuge is from the Llasuet reservoir dam, which is reached by a track that starts from Anet villageThe.
The town Aneto is to the left of the N-260 (road to Viella).
From there the road that gives access to the town continues until become a track at the exit of it and gain altitude to the Llauset dam (2.200 m.) It is reached through a tunnel that is closed to vehicles in the snow season..
Two main paths start from the parking lot of the dam – the one that gives access to Collado de Angliós (2438m) and the GR 11, that we will follow. Once you have reached the opposite end of the reservoir, the GR11 crosses the Cap de Llauset River, turns sharply north and follows a side valley on the left bank of the same river. After winning approximately 200 m of unevenness reaches the Refuge in approximately 1h 30’. The path, in summer, it is virtually uncomplicated and meets all homologation requirements for long-distance trails (GR).
